Bat-Eared Fox
(Otocyon megalotis)

Found across the savannahs of eastern and southern Africa, the Bat-Eared Fox is named for its enormous ears — which can reach up to 13 centimeters in length — used not just for hearing but for thermoregulation, dissipating heat in the scorching African sun.

Like the Aardwolf, it feeds primarily on insects, using those extraordinary ears to detect the faint sounds of beetle larvae and termites moving underground before digging them out with precision!
