Maip
(Maip macrothorax)

Discovered in Argentina and formally described in 2022, Maip macrothorax was one of the last and largest of the megaraptorans — a group of giant predators characterized by enormous clawed arms rather than the powerful jaws seen in other large theropods. Living at the very end of the Cretaceous, it may have been one of the last large predatory dinosaurs alive!
