Found in the slow-moving waters of Southeast Asia, the Tentacled Snake is the only snake in the world with two small tentacles protruding from its snout — the function of which turns out to be surprisingly clever. It exploits a hardwired reflex in fish: when the snake twitches in a J-shaped posture, it triggers the fish's escape reflex, causing it to dart directly toward the snake's waiting jaws. The snake essentially hacks the fish's own nervous system to make it swim into its mouth!
