Tiger Moth
(Varies by Species)
Found across much of the world, Tiger Moths have one of the most remarkable defenses against bat predation. Rather than simply trying to avoid echolocation, they actively jam it — producing rapid ultrasonic clicks from specialised structures called tymbals that interfere with the bat's sonar, causing it to miscalculate the moth's position at the moment of attack. Whether this works primarily by jamming echolocation or simply startling the bat mid-strike is still debated, but either way, it is the insect equivalent of deploying electronic countermeasures!
