Common Flying Dragon
(Draco volans)
Found across the forests of Southeast Asia, the Common Flying Dragon doesn't actually fly so much as glide dramatically. It extends a set of elongated ribs outward, stretching a membrane of brightly colored skin between them to form wings, allowing it to glide between trees as the gif below shows. Remarkably, these "wings" are completely separate from its limbs — it can glide and use all four legs freely at the same time!
