Hyrax
(Varies by Species)

Found across Africa and the Middle East, the Hyrax looks like a large rodent but is actually most closely related to elephants and manatees — a fact that becomes slightly less surprising when you notice the small but prominent tusk-like teeth! It is also a fairly vocal animal with a surprisingly complex range of calls.

A closer look at its small fangs!
