Kiwi

Found exclusively in New Zealand, the Kiwi is a flightless bird about the size of a chicken that has some rather un-birdlike traits — including bone density closer to a mammal than a bird, and surprisingly powerful legs!

As the gif below shows, those legs are no joke — Kiwis are highly territorial and will kick rivals with considerable force to defend their patch!
