Oarfish
(Regalecus glesne)
Found all over the world except for polar regions.
Ranges from 7 - 8m (23 - 26ft) in length.
Feeds primarily on Zooplankton, selective Crustaceans, small fish, Jellyfish, and Squid.
Lives for around 10 - 30 years.
While it is just an unfortunate coincidence, Oarfish tend to appear during natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunami's which gave it the nickname, the "doomsday fish" since some believed it appeared as a harbinger of doom...
