Spinosaurus m.
(Spinosaurus mirabilis)
Unearthed from a remote stretch of the central Sahara in Niger, this Spinosaurus is one of the most exciting dinosaur discoveries in over a century — formally described in 2026, its name means "astonishing Spinosaurus" in Latin, a reference to its most defining feature: a massive scimitar-shaped crest rising from the top of its skull.
It has been described as a wading predator that could stride into 2 meters of water but likely spent most of its time hunting large fish in shallower waters.
