Stoat
(Mustela erminea)
Native to Eurasia and the Northern regions of North America. Also introduced to New Zealand.
Ranges 170 - 325mm (6.7 - 12.8in) in body length, not including its tail.
Feeds mainly on Mouse-Like Rodents. Also eats Birds, Fish, Herptiles, Insects, and even larger Mammals.
Lives for around 12 - 20 years.
Stoats are quite opportunistic creatures! They have been found preying on a few creatures larger than themselves!
