Tardigrade

Found virtually everywhere on Earth — from deep ocean trenches to mountain tops, rainforests to Antarctic ice — the Tardigrade is arguably the most resilient animal ever discovered! These microscopic creatures can survive the vacuum of space, intense radiation, extreme temperatures, and pressures that would destroy almost any other life form!

 

When conditions become too harsh they curl into a dried, almost indestructible state called a “tun” — essentially pausing all biological activity until the environment becomes survivable again. They are, in every sense, almost impossible to kill!
