Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
(Zhangjiajie, China)
Located in Hunan Province, China, Zhangjiajie is a landscape so dramatic it looks frankly implausible — thousands of towering sandstone and quartz pillars rising vertically from the forest floor, draped in vegetation and frequently swathed in mist. Some of the formations reach over 200 meters in height!
The park is also home to the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge — at the time of its opening, the world's longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge — suspended between two cliff faces above the forest below!
